The route is intended for tourists who come to Kaunas for the first time, or want to get to know Kaunas center closer. It is the only route in this site created for pedestrians, as all Kaunas center can be explored on foot in one day. During the trip you will visit Kaunas Old City, feel a remarkable feeling while standing in a confluence of rivers Nemunas and Neris, cross the famous Freedom Avenue (lith. Laisvės Alėja). Many interestings museums will wait for you to enter on the way.

The route is planned to go around: frontward you will go by Vilniaus street and Freedom Avenue, backwards - by quay of river Nemunas. If you do not have enough energy or time to go back on foot to your car after visiting 18th object, you can come back by bus or trolleybuss. To a bus stop "Kauno pilis" goes 10, 21, 23, 37 buses and 5, 7 trolleybuses from a bus stop in Kęstučio street.

Due to a limited time of trip only most famous museums are involved in the route. You can choose by yourself which museums to visit. Information about all museums of Kaunas can be found here.
